In Phase 1 of the project, the team has finished the architecture design and verification of the following Opto-Electronics Interconnection IC (OEIC):
  1. 56-Gb/s PAM4 TX (ESSCIRC 2023)
  2. 60-Gb/s PAM4 RX (JSSC 2023)
  3. 48-GHz PAM4 Optical RX (VLSI 2024)
In this OEIC design:
  • Radiation theory of CM noise is clarified
  • Close-loop controlling of CM noise is proposed
  • CM noise cancellation circuit is proposed
